What is 4C?
The 4C system is the international standard for grading diamonds, established by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Every diamond at M&M GOLD is certified against these criteria.

The carat is the unit of a diamond’s weight. One carat equals 0.2 grams. Larger diamonds are rarer and more valuable, though weight is only one of the factors that determine value.

Cut
Cut is the most important factor affecting a diamond’s brilliance. Perfect proportions and symmetry allow light to reflect within the stone, creating its characteristic fire.
- Excellent — the highest cut grade
- Very Good — superb brilliance

Colour
The most valuable diamonds are completely colourless (D-F). The colour scale ranges from D (colourless) to Z (distinctly yellow). Each step of difference is visible to an expert.
- D-F: Colourless (most valuable)
- G-J: Near colourless
- K-M: Slightly tinted

Clarity
Clarity describes the presence of internal (inclusions) and external (blemishes) imperfections. FL (Flawless) diamonds are exceptionally rare and prized by collectors.
- FL/IF: Inclusion-free (rarest)
- VVS1-VVS2: Very difficult to see
- VS1-VS2: Difficult to see
